Here We Come Cara!

On Saturday May 25th we're finally leaving to pick up our little Cara in Liberia.  I'm excited and nervous at the same time.  I can't wait to meet her, but I worry that she'll be so sad to leave all she knows.  I hope she can feel our love for her and somehow understand a little bit of what's going on.  I'm super busy trying to get ready for the trip, while helping with little Evie and getting the kids ready to be without us for 3 weeks.  I'm so grateful to have my wonderful, responsible Ellie to take care of the house and family while Tim, Brantley, and I are in Africa.  It's been a real roller coaster ride, and I'll be so happy to finally have Cara home.  We're coming for you soon, sweetie pie!

Hair Bling

Hair bling!  Yay!  I love accessories for little girls.  They're just so fun!  A wonderful friend made several headbands for Evie, and they're all darling.  We had such fun trying them on her.  She's just too adorable!

WAY Too Grown-Up Annie!

Annie looks so grown-up with her hair flat-ironed.  I about had a heart attack when I saw her like this! It would be easier if she wasn't so beautiful.  She's growing up so fast!

Auntie Love!

Emily and Ashlyn love this baby so much.  They wanted to stay home from school to help with her, and she's the first one they look for when they get home in the afternoon.  They're so cute with her!

Evie's 1st Day Home!

It is so fun having a baby in the house again!  She's almost never put down, and is constantly being kissed.  How could we help but kiss this darling little face?

Ready to Heat Home!

On Friday May 17th Lexie and Evie were ready to head home.  They're going to be staying at our house for a month or so until Lexie is completely healed.  Brantley picked out her outfit himself at the store before she was even born.  It was so fun to finally have a real live little dolly to put it on.  She was NOT thrilled though!

At the Hospital

The kids just loved their new neice!  Everyone wanted a chance to hold and kiss her. Evie's

a very loved baby!

Evie Pictures!

She's just so adorable!  I can't get enough of this beautiful baby!

Evangeline Faith Goddard!

At 5:14 pm on May 14, 2013 Evangeline Faith Goddard was born!  She weighed 7lbs. 13oz, and was 18 1/2 inches long.  She had a full head of black hair and big grey eyes.  She was soooo beautiful!  Lexie did great with the birth and was so excited to be a mama, and I was so excited to be a grandma!  What a blessing from heaven!

C-Section, Here She Comes!

After many days of labor, during which Lexie was a total trooper, the decision was made to deliver little Evie via C-section.  Lexie was very relieved and ready to go.  Here she is before the surgery on her own, and with her wonderful doula and friend, Jennifer Gaines.  Everything went very well and 45 minutes later I was a grandma!

Ean's Mother's Day Surprise!

On the Friday before Mother's Day, Ean ran several miles to surprise me with a visit.  He thought it was Mother's Day that day, not two days later on Sunday.  I just had to laugh!  And of course, I loved the surprise visit even if it wasn't Mother's Day.  Such a thoughtful young man!

Daddy Daughters Date!

Emily and Ashlyn had a Daddy Daughters Activity Days activity in April.  They played games, had snacks, and had a great time.  These girls sure do love their daddy!

Due in 2 weeks and So Huge!

Lexie got really big when she was pregnant.  At only 5 feet tall, there just wasn't anywhere else for the baby to go but out!  She had a really easy and healthy pregnancy though.  Thanks heavens!

Easter 2013

Here are the kids who came to church with us on Easter.  Ellie went to the singles ward, where she usually goes.  Lexie was getting really big by this time, and we were all looking forward to little Evie's arrival!
