My how time flies! Annie is 12 now, and is allowed to wear makeup. She hadn't wanted to until today when she came downstairs in the morning with a new hairstyle and a request to wear mascara and lip gloss. Oh my goodness! She looks so beautiful and sooo grown-up. She's not my spunky toddler anymore!

Emily and Ashlyn wanted to wear their hair straight for a few days, so Lexie flat ironed it for them. I forgot to take a picture of Ashlyn, but I did get a picture of Emily. She was not thrilled - can't you tell? I think it looks darling this way, but it only lasts for a few days before the humidity here makes the hair curl. It was fun while it lasted though!
I can't believe I have a 22 year old! Ellie had to work on her birthday, so we just had a quick dinner and her sugar cookie cake. It was very nice though. And she used the birthday money we gave her to do something she rarely does - shopping for herself! She usually spends her money on her siblings, so I was glad she did something for herself this time. Happy Birthday my oldest beautiful girl!
Emily turned 9 on Feb. 15th. I know I say it every year, but I can't believe she's that old! I still think of her as one of my baby girls. She had a party at the gym where she takes gymnastics and had a great time. Her birthday cereal was Cinnamon Toast Crunch and she wanted chocolate and vanilla cupcakes.
In January, Emily and Ashlyn (aka "the girls") had their school music program. It was a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, and was very cute. I love the programs at their school because they're well done and don't go on forever. The girls did a great job!
