No Training Wheels!

On Easter Sunday, while the kids were playing outside, Brantley taught the little girls how to ride their bikes without training wheels! He taught Marq and Annie to ride bikes about 3 years ago, and taught our neighbor Ce-ce too. He's such a great helper, and it's wonderful that everyone is an official bike rider now, and that I didn't have to do the teaching!

Easter Sunday

Normally I'd be posting a picture of all the kids in their Easter outfits, but this Easter we had our LDS General Conference. So instead of attending church, we watched it on T.V. It was a very relaxing day - just the kind I like! Here are all the kids (minus Lexie who was off in another room) hanging out in the family room watching. Then we had a yummy ham dinner and the kids played outside for quite awhile. It was great to have Ean over, and a nice day was had by all!

Ready to Drive!

Emily wants to drive so badly her teeth ache. In fact, I often find her in Ellie's car pretending to drive. It's very cute, but only because she doesn't understand yet how to turn the key in the ignition. When she figures that out, we're in trouble! By the way, notice Brantley in his swimsuit? It was actually warm enough for several days in March that the kids could run through the sprinklers! Gotta love the wacky weather here!

Bubble Blowing Pacific Northwest Style!

What do you do when you really want to blow bubbles but it's been raining outside for several days in a row? You do what children in this area do all the time - use an umbrella and don't let the rain bother you at all!

Church Prom!

Lexie hasn't had a chance to go to a school prom yet since she just turned 16, but our church region has a very nice prom for the 16 - 18 year olds every year. This is the dress Lexie chose to wear. I was so relieved that she was happy with a short dress we could just find at a local store. I'm not looking forward to the time when she wants a full length formal gown!

Sleep time?

Brantley often stays up until 2 or 3am so of course he's tired the next day. Usually he's fine and just carries on with his day, but sometimes he just crashes wherever he happens to be. Seriously, how can anyone sleep peacefully in this position? Funny boy!
