Emily's 5th Birthday!

On February 15th Emily turned 5. I can't believe she's that old already! I still remember the day our adoption agency tracked us down at church to tell us that our baby had been born. Obviously there were many LDS workers at the agency we were using because they knew right where to find us on a Sunday morning! We were originally planning on flying down (she was born in Utah) the next week for her birth but she decided to come a bit early. We were thrilled that baby and birth mom were healthy and fine. Next came the challenge of finding childcare for our 6 at home a week before we thought we needed it. Thanks to lots of great supportive friends everything worked out and the next day we were in Utah meeting our beautiful baby daughter. Happy Birthday angel girl!

For her birthday picks Emily chose:

cereal - Lucky Charms

dinner - spaghetti

cake - chocolate with chocolate frosting

gifts - everything princess! Jewelry, dresses, capes, gloves, etc. And a Polly Pocket, of course!

Wow - you do have a lot of Feb. birthdays!!!

Emily can't be 5 yrs old! I remember all too well watching your kids when you flew down to get her and then holding that precious babe when she was just a wee one.....

Oh how time flies....... kiss those cheeks while she lets you.:)

My "baby" is turning 5 this year too, robin. Can you believe it?
